Abby Kasonik holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, department of Sculpture.

Her paintings often portray indistinct and shadowy figures along the horizon lines, have a unique depth, and a quiet she perceives around her. Her palette of cool blues, grays, greens, add to the atmospheric, dream-like terrain of the work.

Kasonik’s work has been exhibited widely along the east coast. Her work has been featured in such publications as Southern Living, Virginia Living, the Huffington Post, and is in many public and private collections including that of the the Fralin Museum at the University of Virginia.
